What we measure

Pick the one you want to keep. We will show you what it is made of.

The things worth being able to do in your seventies and eighties range from lifting your carry-on into the overhead locker, to playing 18 holes of golf, to holding your grandchildren. None of them is a vague ambition. Each comes down to something we can put a number on today.

  1. A woman rising from a hard chair with her arms held out in front of her

    What you want at eighty

Get out of a low chair without using your hands.

    Sit to stand
    What it is
Rising from a seated position, repeatedly, without pushing off with your hands.
    How we take it
In the key 5 assessment, alongside body composition, grip strength, single leg balance and vertical jump.
    Where to start
    Pilates, 50 minutes, from €18 a class.
    Book the key 5 assessment
  2. A tai chi class holding a wide stance in a mirrored studio

    What you want at eighty

Stand on one leg long enough to put your socks on.

    Single leg balance
    What it is
How long you can hold yourself steady on one leg, unsupported.
    How we take it
In the key 5 assessment, one of the physical biomarkers of longevity we measure.
    Where to start
    Tai Chi, six-week course, €108.
    Book the key 5 assessment
  3. A mixed-age class working with light dumbbells in a mirrored studio

    What you want at eighty

Lift the case into the overhead locker.

    Grip strength
    What it is
How much force your hand can hold, which is the part of lifting most people lose first.
    How we take it
In the key 5 assessment, measured on clinical-grade devices.
    Where to start
    Barre, 50 minutes, from €18 a class.
    Book the key 5 assessment
  4. A woman training on a mat beside a rack of exercise balls

    What you want at eighty

    Still leave the ground.

    Vertical jump
    What it is
How much power you can still produce at once, rather than how much strength you can hold.
    How we take it
In the key 5 assessment, alongside body composition, grip strength, sit to stand and single leg balance.
    Where to start
Barre and pilates, from €18 a class.
    Book the key 5 assessment
  5. A man seated on exercise equipment by a window wearing a gas exchange mask during a test

    What you want at eighty

    Walk eighteen holes without flagging.

    VO2 max
    What it is
The maximum amount of oxygen you can take up while you are working hard.
    How we take it
The VO2 Max Test, run with our partner Kiwi Fit on specialised equipment. You get your level in ml/kg/min and where it sits against age and gender benchmarks.
    Where to start
Classes seven days a week, from €18. Or find your fitness age, €315.
    Book the VO2 max test
  6. A hand operating the control panel of a clinical measuring device

    What you want at eighty

Know what you are actually made of.

    Body composition
    What it is
Body fat, muscle mass, hydration, metabolic age and visceral fat, rather than one number on a scales.
    How we take it
Tanita body composition analysis, which takes a few minutes and can also flag low bone mass indicators that may suggest a risk of osteopenia.
    Where to start
    A functional medicine consultation.

The centre

Three hundred square metres, and the rooms have names.

Six treatment rooms, the Quartz studio for classes and workshops, the Kyanite consultation room where the measuring happens, and the Ubuntu café to sit in afterwards. You are not sent across town between a therapist, a studio and a clinic, which is the whole reason we built it this way.

A room with coloured chairs, folded mats, blocks and a painted mural
A room that holds a groupChairs, mats, blocks and space for a workshop. Community is one of our five pillars and it needs a room, not a slogan.

Technology where it earns its placeDermalux LED phototherapy, vibroacoustic therapy and clinical measuring devices, beside hands-on treatment.
A client lying down with a practitioner's hands held above them and a singing bowl beside the couch
And the older wisdom tooReiki, craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, reflexology and sound. We bring together what is new and what has always worked.

Treatments, classes and consultations

Three ways in, and you can use all of them.

Every price below is the one we publish. Book a single treatment, drop into a class, or start with a consultation and let the measuring decide the order.

Everything we do is centred around the five pillars of wellness, offering a holistic approach to personal growth and sustainable wellbeing.

Why it exists

The alternative was expensive retreats, or fragmented offerings from sole operators. Put the right treatments, consultations and classes under one roof and a community gets something personal and professional instead.

That is the thinking Aisling Hassell built Dāha on. A Dublin native and a career executive across Ireland, the UK and the US, she spent years trying to hold a healthy life together around long hours and constant travel, and concluded there had to be a better way to support anyone doing the same.

So the measuring, the treatments and the classes are in one building at Sutton Cross, and the people who take your numbers are the people who see you in the studio on Thursday.

Come and see us

Start with a conversation, not a commitment.

Tell us what you want to still be doing in twenty or thirty years, or just tell us where it hurts. We will tell you which of the six we would measure first and what it costs before you book anything.

Opening hours

  • Monday to Friday8:00 – 20:00
  • Saturday8:00 – 18:00
  • Sunday9:00 – 16:00
